On Wednesday, 1 July, Progresif was proud to play its part in contributing to the reopening of Brunei schools by donating vital supplies to assist the Ministry of Education with health and safety precautions as students start returning to school in greater numbers.
In partnership with the Young Entrepreneurs Association Brunei (YEAB), Progresif initiated the ‘Contribute to Reopening Schools’ Campaign, a donation drive to procure important personal sanitation equipment, ensure that students in need can resume learning without the burdens of having to purchase expensive personal protective equipment.
Held at the Ministry of Education, the event saw the CEO of Progresif, Hjh Nurul Haniah binti Hj Jaafar, along with a representative from YEAB, Louis Loo, hand over BND4000.00 worth of supplies to Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Hamzah bin Haji Sulaiman, the Minister of Education. Consisting of face masks, hand sanitisers, alcohol-based disinfectant spray and alcohol-wipes, it is hoped that the donation will greatly assist in providing students and staff a safe environment to work in.
Commenting on Progresif’s participation in the campaign, Hjh Nurul Haniah reiterated the telco’s longstanding commitment to supporting Education as part of its four-pillar Corporate Social Responsibility saying, “Education is one of the most important tools driving our youth towards a more secure and prosperous future, as such, we need to make every effort to enable the safe return to campus life”.
