Progresif Cellular Sdn Bhd today announced some of the changes that are in store for the company in the new year, with a restructuring exercise that will see the transfer of assets and all customers from Progresif Cellular Sdn. Bhd. to Progresif Sdn. Bhd., and the appointment of Hjh Nurul Haniah binti Hj Md Jaafar as the company’s incoming Chief Executive Officer (CEO) topping the list of things to come.
Since the launch of Progresif in late 2014, the company’s growth into a major player in the telecommunications industry has been nothing short of extraordinary. The key points in their success story are the proliferation of their customer base from 20,000 to 200,000 subscribers, innovating a suite of digital applications to revolutionise the local Fintech, Media, and Entertainment spaces, and building a corporate culture that goes beyond the bottom line to add value throughout the community via extensive CSR engagement. With this providing a solid platform on which to continue the evolution of brand Progresif, Hjh Nurul has expressed a resolute confidence in her vision of what’s new and what’s next for Progresif and Brunei in the year 2020 and beyond.
While she has set her sights on a number of key areas for the continued success, the 15-year industry veteran and former Chief Administration Officer of Progresif has stated that paramount among those is a renewed effort to become the provider of choice through a second to none customer service experience. “Progresif must, and will, remain customer-centric in everything the company does, seeing things through the eyes of our customers, earning their trust and confidence, and whether individually or collectively, meet and exceed their expectations”, Hjh Nurul said.
In terms of customer-centred products and services, the company made huge leaps in digital innovations and the construction of an application based digital ecosystem to serve Brunei. This is certainly an area Progresif will hope to consolidate in 2020. With download numbers ranging from 20,000 for the Progresif PAY electronic wallet, 30,600 for their Progresif Radio internet radio station, and 15,300 downloads of the Progresif Care app, there is every reason for the brand to expect continued growth of these applications, as well as for their newer Progresif Events electronic ticketing portal, and Progresif Minds education platform.
From an infrastructural point of view, the formation of Unified National Network (UNN) has presented opportunities to open new products and services, so Progresif Sdn. Bhd. will be looking to start the year strong with a 4G+ rollout to all customers, and follow that up with the launch of key services such as Fibre Broadband and Progresif Media - a bespoke content streaming platform. Given the considerable movement there will be from all three telcos in the near future, Progresif will look to find their feet quickly and set a strong tone to carry through the year.
