11 April 2021 – Shell LiveWIRE Brunei and Progresif Sdn Bhd signed a Memorandum of Understanding yesterday. The agreement between the two companies is aimed to outline the commitment by both parties towards the development of a start-up ecosystem focusing on the local Startup Pipeline; filter down prospective start-ups related to Progresif’s digital marketplaces, in education technology and on-demand logistics.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) agreement signed by Hajah Rosita binti Haji Hassan, Chairman of LiveWIRE Brunei and In-Country Value Manager of Brunei Shell Petroleum Company Sdn Bhd (BSP) and Hajah Nurul Haniah Binti Haji Jaafar, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Progresif Sdn Bhd.
In attendance to the signing ceremony, Haji Abdul Yusrin Bin DSLJ Hj Salleh, Programme Director of LiveWIRE Brunei and Johan Bin Dato Dr Haji Johar, Chief Corporate Strategy Officer (CSO) of the Progresif Sdn Bhd as the main witnesses for the event.
This new partnership will bring about closer collaborations between the two organizations to a similar vision, which is to significantly increase the promotion and improvement of local businesses in the start-up ecosystem through educational projects and training opportunities while also providing opportunities in marketing and promotion through collaborative events. Moreover, the partnership will enhance the community development in Entrepreneurship as this is aligned with the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) of Progresif Sdn Bhd.
Almost a year ago, the journey has already been embarked with collaboration between Shell LiveWIRE Brunei and Progresif Sdn Bhd with Brand & CSR in recognizing education, environment and entrepreneurship by supporting AgroBIZ.
